Headaches that may be coming from your neck
Not all headaches are the same, and not all of them come from the neck. Some recurring headaches do have a neck-related contribution, and that is the part an examination can assess. Anything outside that picture belongs with your physician.

Who this page is for
Adults with recurring headaches, especially those that start at the base of the skull or accompany neck stiffness.
Why people come in
These are reasons patients give for booking. They are not a diagnosis, and only an examination can tell you what is happening in your case.
- Headache that begins in the neck and spreads over the head
- Headache that worsens after long desk sessions or driving
- Neck stiffness accompanying the headache
- One-sided head pain with tenderness around the upper neck
How the evaluation works
We take a headache history including pattern and triggers, examine the upper neck and screen for features that need medical referral.
How we may approach care
Where a neck-related contribution is found, care may include joint and soft tissue work and specific exercise, plus workstation and habit guidance. This sits alongside, not instead of, medical management of migraine.

What a first visit may involve
A headache history, an examination of the neck, and an honest statement of whether we think we can help.
Safety and when to seek other care
A sudden severe headache, headache with fever, confusion, weakness, visual loss, or a headache after head trauma requires emergency medical care. We make no claim to treat migraine as a neurological condition.
Questions patients ask
Can chiropractic care cure migraines?
No. We assess whether a neck-related contribution exists and address that part if it does.
Should I keep a headache diary?
It helps. Bring notes on timing, triggers and duration to your first visit.
