Sports injury care built around getting you back to your sport

An injury is frustrating because it takes away the thing you actually want to be doing. Sports injury care starts by identifying what is injured and what the demands of your sport are, then building a plan that respects both. The goal is a considered return, not a rushed one.

Who this page is for

Recreational and competitive athletes, weekend golfers, runners, lifters and active adults of any age.

Why people come in

These are reasons patients give for booking. They are not a diagnosis, and only an examination can tell you what is happening in your case.

  • Pain that appears at a specific point in your movement or swing
  • A joint that feels unstable, catches, or gives way
  • Soreness that has stopped improving between sessions
  • Loss of speed, distance or control that you cannot train through

How the evaluation works

We assess the injured area, the joints above and below it, and the movement pattern your sport demands, because the painful site is not always the origin of the problem.

How we may approach care

Care may combine adjustments, soft tissue therapy, shockwave where appropriate, and progressive loading exercise. Return to sport is staged against how you tolerate load, not against a calendar.

What a first visit may involve

Bring your training schedule and any competition dates. You will get an examination, an explanation of findings and guidance on what to modify in the meantime.

Safety and when to seek other care

Suspected fracture, dislocation, significant swelling, an inability to bear weight, or a head injury need urgent medical assessment. We do not promise a return date and we will tell you when a referral is the right call.

Questions patients ask

Should I stop training completely?

Often no. Your provider will usually suggest modifications rather than a full stop, based on your findings.

Do you treat youth athletes?

Care is offered across age groups, with technique chosen appropriately. A parent or guardian attends with a minor.
